Block it all out - All that is good is not good

I always wondered why villains are the way they are. Or, why people choose to destroy others without much thought. Sometimes I think the responsibility lies on the good people in the lives of these villains. We have been taught to be good and people who are good will always be rewarded etc. But I feel that sometimes when one is good in nature and have high standards of morals, one tend to impose that on others. The idea of putting people down and judging others based on their staunch belief in being right is the best way to get people to turn evil,

Take two-face in  Batman for instance, he was the ideal and morally- valued person in the series and at the end of the day he turns evil. Batman on the other hand, (though in some comics does turn evil), he does have his constant struggle. It is not that he does not favor good but I presume he knows that even being too good does more harm than good.

To all those goodie shoes out there, don't try to think you are helping people with your advice and attempts to show that you care. The words are not forms of encouragement, it is just a way to elevate what you think should be right. Not everyone is equal. Not all that is lost is truly lost.

Thanks for the advice but I, like some others, choose to block it all out.

The hardest part of ending is starting again

I am listening to a teenager angst band which, even till today helps me ease my pain. The most beautiful line in one of their songs is "the hardest part of ending is starting again". Many of you by now would know the title of the song and the band. I am too numb to remember both nor bothered to google what it is.

Today I stab myself over and over and ripped my heart out. It is a beautiful therapeutic image. I love it. I did something like this when I was 15 when one of my teachers broke my heart, with the exception of the stabbing. It felt good. It is morbid but it helps to relieve the pain. If this was last year or the beginning of the year, I would cry and say how unfair God has been to me. But now, I don't blame the Almighty. He/She is not responsible for how others behave nor am I a little girl to put the blame on others, victimizing myself. I just experience the pain, cry and move on. I have better things to do.

Today I had my heartbroken without realising that I actually did fall in love. A puppy love yet it was significant. The green eyed monster appeared and suddenly the realisation that my heart was painful and then this was followed by the ever famous line, "love hurts, so get over it and grow up". I did what I always do, compartmentalise. What is important in my life? Seeking knowledge. I have no time for distractions and this emotions are a distraction. Like Da vinci in Da Vinci's demons, one's ability to focus on something larger in life becomes a solid pillar of support.

I am constantly not focussed and easily distracted. Thus, it is nice for once, to be able to put all that distractions by acknowledging them as distractions. A simple definition redefines your focus. This past 5 months especially these month, I have learnt that people with authority change and sometimes wishing dead upon them and suffering is not a bad idea. But that is my frustration speaking. I have to remind myself that KARMA does a better job than I would.

At the same time, I learn that moving away from friends or what we assume are friends are necessary in order to focus more on what primarily motivates us. At this junction, I would feel upset and moved to tears with the thought of moving away from these friends. But today, I just don't really bother. I know people are replaceable and sometimes being maleficent is not so bad.

I guess the only person who truly sees the pain I am going through is my mother. Mothers have a certain way of knowing and yet, I feel the need to face my own emotional battles and put up a facade in front of her. I guess most single mothers do that all the time. Oh well, I don't know how, but I will start again.

Where have all the mentors gone?

Have you ever been in a stage of your life where you dread going to work and you get so overwhelmed just thinking of what trouble you are going to get into next? Well, that was my past two weeks’ experience. It was not so much the trouble but the inability of others to see out of the box because they never really knew that the box existed.  When people fail to see the box but you do, that gets you into trouble.

Sometimes I seriously wonder about people who are much older than I am and hold a certain position. Are they truly wiser and much more insightful? On a personal front, I have met people who are amazing and truly wiser. They are always there to give me a piece of advice when I need it. Take my mother and my friend, Harj for example. Two amazing people who are always giving me sound advice. My brother sometimes does that, and he is 5 years younger than me. These are people who I can count on for sound advice. And then, there are my motivators; my older colleagues and James, my Aussie friend who motivated me to go forth and do what I truly want and he is the same age as me. It is because of these people, that I truly believe that life has a lot more to offer me and that I can still trust and count on people in my life.

However, it is a pity that on other platforms, I find the existence of such people very rare. I was watching the Intern and I wonder, “Where have all these old, patient and wise people gone?” The CEOs, the protagonist wants to hire to save her business are no different than some of the people I work with; uptight, rigid, backstabbers. This is something, which has become a culture; that is growing in this capitalist society of ours. I understand that politics is everywhere, but to have it become a parasite to the development of young talent is despicable. I am not young anymore, but I am not rigid and oppressed like many, who hold positions.

It is rare to find people like the character played by Robert De Niro. A patient and insightful man who, sees the pride in people’s work. He works with people to develop and encourage them to do their best. I was surprised that the protagonist did not choose him to be the CEO in the movie but then again in the end I understood why. The protagonist did not need a CEO, she needed a mentor; someone to guide her and show her that she is talented and she should do what is right for her. She needed a person to listen and lead by example. Robert De Niro’s character did all that and more. I guess for me that was what I was expecting from certain people but to my horror, realized that it would never be. I was amazed how others could see the potential in me and, not the people I have trusted and worked with.

I guess, it is a sign for me to take a bow and move on. I am a bit apprehensive about moving on. It is always frightening. However, I know that there are always people encouraging me, people who see the diamond in me. For this, I am always grateful.

Moving on from 30

A few months ago, I wrote about turning 30 (The un-socializing of the social butterfly). As I re- read what I have written, I realised how confused and scared I probably was writing that piece. It is evident that I was asking the question, “now what?” Nobody tells you what happens when you are thirty, what is the next stage that you need to take. Minister Mentor once said in his interview that by the time you are thirty, you character is set. And nothing is further from that truth. You character is set when you are thirty. However, that does not mean that you stop growing. Your personality remains the same, your initial response to life and to situations remains the same but your perspective of things change, thus your approach changes and so does your response.

Take me for instance. I was forced to grow up within 1.5 years. As an astrologer would kindly put it, “Saturn is in your house and you are in for a bootcamp.” Bootcamp it is. After such a steep learning curve, I am finally starting to connect the dots. I am starting to see links and realising how much your personality assimilates in as your perspective changes. I realise that I do not have to change myself but just my perspectives. My life is a huge project that I need to work on and within that project there are several smaller projects. I have tons of that and I pick and choose what I want to do. But there are some that no matter how much I hate the project, I am forced to take it. Nonetheless, all these projects have a common goal, which is to contribute to my biggest project called life.

I am currently on a project where I am really fascinated with what I am discovering from it. This project is called, “In the process of getting hitched”.  The key word here is not hitched but process. The objective of this project is two-fold. The first objective is to allow myself the liberty to explore my own character and what are the variables that would allow me to sustain my own growth in the long run. The second objective is to discover the notion of love and its role in marriage.

Having been brought up in the conventional idea that one falls in love first and then gets married, no longer appeals to me. I have discovered (through my pure interest in understanding the notion of love and why some marriages in today’s society seem to fail easily) that, the marriage and love though are intertwined, takes place at different times. Falling in love is not necessarily a criteria to get married. Getting married without falling in love does not mean that the marriage would not work. In fact, my three hour conversation with a French teacher friend made me realise that arranged marriages seem to have worked out better than love marriages, statistically speaking. As my friend rightly pointed out, in arranged marriages, there is this determination and unwritten contract that no matter what happens we need to make the marriage work. This is also something another friend of mine who was arranged to get married said. And in that process one falls in love. I found the notion much closer to the truth than anything. Having done my own experiments in relationships, I have come to realise that the idea of arranged marriages are not that scary. What is really disturbing is going into a marriage without understanding that it is a project that involves a lot of reality checks and working out together to achieve a growth in both parties. I am starting to realise that marriage is a really a contract which both parties work as a team and it is based on the concrete real decisions taken by both, to compromise to agree or disagree to things that matter in the development of their essence as a human being. I find the entire process rather enriching. The conclusion if I were to get married, or not, is not important (though my mother will say otherwise). I find the process in understanding this project is far more crucial.

Then comes the aspect of children. I have been cunningly planning to have children for a long time but without the need to have the father with me when I am bringing up the child. Having had the idea that men do not necessarily play an important role for the past one year, I have now began to see how men as fathers are extremely crucial in the development of the child. A male figure is important for a child to have a balanced view of life through understanding how opposite sex engage in the processes of daily undertakings. It is also crucial especially for a male child to have a strong male influence. Having consider the benefits of having the child’s father living with me if I intend to have a child, I move on to thinking about the intellectual and cultural aspect of a child’s development. I personally like the idea that my child should be able to speak more than two languages and have exposure to more than one form of cultural background. Thus, this then clarifies the type of partner I am looking for, one that is of a different ethical and cultural background.  Of course, in the case of not being able to find such a partner, the difference in cultural ideologies and philosophy takes the precedence. For instance, I may choose a partner who is of my ethnicity but whose upbringing is very much closer to the philosophy of the western ideology. The combination is endless. And a participant of this project,
I, myself, will learn, as I discover and banter with my partner, my own doctrines and beliefs.

So far, the project has given me numerous insights and I look forward in discovering more. Now, back to my title, moving on from 30. This coming of age has opened more doors for my own self-discovery and I can feel the very essence of me being me more prominent in the way I see life and the decisions I take. It is fascinating and I look forward to more of such endeavours.

Keisha's first encounter

Keisha sipped her glass of red wine, taking quick glances at the entrance of the restaurant. She was completely bored out of her mind and there was only one person to blame for her miserable situation, Rain. She had no idea why she agreed to do it but she could still hear his voice echoing in her head.

“All you need to do, is to meet him and get to know him,” said Rain

“But why? And why me? Can’t you get some other demon to do that for you? Why is this guy so special that you have asked me to do this for you? And what am I suppose to find out about him?”

“Firstly, that’s none of your business, secondly, you owe me a favour and last but none the less, you are the perfect person for the job. Compremento?”

“You know Rain, sometimes I wonder why your life and mine are intertwined. You are the most distant and non-comprehensible demon I have ever known” she sighed. “And for the record, once I am done with this, I never want to ask you for a favour ever. And, you can kick my ass to the seven doors of hell if I do”

Keisha saw a man entering the restaurant. He was dressed in a beautiful tuxedo and had an air of arrogance and new money to him. Keisha assumed that he must be her assignment. She straightened herself up and reapplied her lip gloss.

“Hi Keisha?”

Keisha looked up and froze. It was not the man who had just entered the restaurant.

A tall man was towering over her. His bright brown eyes made her heart skip a beat. They were soft yet one could not deny the penetrating gaze that would make any girl’s heart melt. It was deep and catastrophic. Keisha could feel her breathe become heavier. The man’s rugged yet boyish features made one conclude that, God must have made a special mould just to create him. His smile was encapsulating and she wondered what it would feel like if his tongue was touching her most intimate areas. She could feel the wetness slowing oozing out from her. He was wearing a tight V-neck t-shirt and she could not help but notice his distinct chest muscles. Gosh, if only she could take his shirt off right that moment and feel his tan tight skin. Keisha was completely on fire.

“Hmm Ms Keisha? Hi, I am Donavan”

Keisha snapped out of her fantasy. “Donavan? I am so sorry. Please do take a seat.”

“Thank you. I am so sorry I was late. Got held up by traffic,” he smiled. Keisha’s stomach tightened. One more time he smiled like that, she was just going to melt.

“It’s okay, what would you like to drink?” she asked, trying to distract herself from him, while waving her hand to catch the attention of a waiter. Gosh, she had got to get a grip of herself before she looked like some teenager who has just met her crush for the first time.

“I will have a beer, if you don’t mind. The weather is hot and nothing cools me like a good cold beer.”

“I rather have you hot then cold,” said Keisha’s voice in her head.

The waiter appeared and Keisha ordered the restaurant’s best beer. As the waiter left, Keisha took a good deep breathe, calmed her racing mind and smiled at the man sitting opposite her.

“So, Donavan, tell me about yourself.”

Life path number 2015

Came across this amazing article and it seems true...

2015: An 8 Universal Year

2015 happens to be an “8” year, universally speaking, because if you tally the individual digits 2+0+1+5 they add up to 8. So the vibrational energy of “8” will guide us globally throughout the year. [AstroTwins’ note: For more on the “8” universal year, download our 2015 Planetary Planner with Felicia’s bonus Numerology section!]

Here’s how to calculate your Personal Year for 2015:

• Take your birth date (for example): 3/25/1984
• Now replace the year you were born with the current year: 3/25/2015
• Now add those numbers together like a long addition math problem:
3 + 2 + 5 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 5 = 18
• Digit down to a single-digit number, so keep adding: 1+8= 9
• If this were your birthday, you’re experiencing an “9” Personal Year in 2015

How is the Personal Year different from the Life Path Number? Your Personal Year Number is different from your Life Path Number, which, like your astrological Sun sign, never changes. The Life Path (or Birth Path) number is calculated by adding up your month, date and year of birth. If you already know yours, awesome. If not, use this formula to calculate your Life Path Number.

1 Personal Year:

This is a year of new beginnings and initiation. This year holds much more clarity than last year and is the start of a new nine-year cycle. So make it count! This is a year to plant the seeds for what you want to see grow and mature during the next nine-year cycle. Don’t waste it with frivolous activities or useless relationships. It can be a somewhat lonely year with feelings that a lot rests on your shoulders and only you can get it done—without help from others. “Independence” is your mantra! This is the year to start with as much of a clean slate as you possibly can. Ready? Lights, camera, action! Combined with the 8 Universal Year, it’s going to be devoted to achievement in the material world and achieving your goals with organization, creativity, and endurance. Get ready for a high-intensity year.

2 Personal Year:

This is a year to focus on your emotions. Last year = career. This year = love and emotions. Last year was a “me” year; this year is an “us” year. Believe me when I say that this is a slow-moving year designed to test and build your patience! It’ll feel like you’re moving three steps forward, four steps backward at any given time. Concentrate on intimacy and relationships, fostering appreciation for yourself and your loved ones, and speaking your truth gently yet firmly. Don’t expect anything to transpire at a rapid pace. Get your favorite tar-walking shoes on and get ready to pace yourself! Patience, patience, and more patience. Mixed with the energy of the 8 Universal Year, you’ll feel like you’re riding a teeter-totter. The energy of the 2 is focused on “us,” relationship, and harmony. Yet the 8 demands dynamic action and a bit of self-centered achievement. It’ll be a delicate balance for you in 2015.

3 Personal Year:

This is a year for fun and creativity! Take center stage. Enroll in a public speaking class or make over your image. Live your life expansively. Take risks you’d usually never dream of taking. This is your year to be out there, enhancing all aspects of your sense of creative self-expression. Understand that this can also be a year where you’ll be challenged to work on expressing your emotions clearly and effectively, so you’ll be offered plenty of opportunities to practice this feat during the year. You’ll feel creative, outpoken, and full of energy. You also might wrestle with some unexpected emotional highs and lows, so take it as it comes and know you can’t go wrong when you tap into your authentic feelings. Your theme for the year: one more time…with feeling! Combined with the 8 Universal Year, 2015 will hold some ferver all its own. How can you use your creativity and communication skills to benefit your finances and personal power?

4 Personal Year:

This is a year to work hard and sharpen your skill set. You’ll want to be practical rather than pie-in-the-sky. Take the time to slow down, steady your pace, and become more methodical about which goals you want to focus on. This is a more serious year requiring hard work to set the foundation for whatever you’re working on: job, relationships, family. You’ll need to forgo Happy Hour and stay a little late at the office to finish up that big report or file, complete the last part of the chapter you’re writing, or think through the way you’re wanting to systematize your project. While it may feel a bit thankless at times, you’ll reap the rewards when you accomplish your goals step-by-step. Your theme: Slow and steady wins the race! This year’s purpose goes hand-in-hand with the energy of the 8 Universal Year. Both energies are about getting things done. Red Flag: Potential burnout. You’ll have to consciously take time for self-care. Start putting those massages, therapy sessions, and short breaks on the calendar now

5 Personal Year:

This is a year that feels like a whirlwind; so many pleasures, so little time! There are lots of ups and downs, so the key for this year is flexibility. Lots of unexpected opportunities are bound to come your way, so be open to trying new things. If you don’t attempt to follow a strict plan you’ll be better off. It’s time to travel and tap into your sense of fearless adventure—not a time to make a long-term commitment! (Hint: Not a good year to tie the knot! Wait until next year; long engagements are the new black). The key to this year is establishing and acting on some semblance of self-discipline or you’ll get to 2016 feeling like 2015 has been one big hangover. You’ll have plenty of sex appeal this year, so understand that your alluring energy can offer plenty of sensual pleasures. Your mantra: I am flexible! Put that together with the powerful energy of the 8 Universal Year and you might have a few bumps in the amazingly frenetic road. The 5 is about fun and adventure while the 8 is about getting down to business and taking responsibility for making things happen. Your key for success? Rein it in and attempt to focus on one thing at a time. Satisfaction comes with the constructive use of freedom.

6 Personal Year:

It’s time to regroup, nurture, and be nurtured. This is also a year where your personal magnetism is at a peak. Big opportunities await you this year both in your career and your intimate life. It’s a good year to get married or engaged if you have been hovering around that decision. It’s also a year where you may seek a divorce, a break-up, or other relationship splits. This can be called the “Marriage and Divorce” year. It’s all about evaluating the relationships in your life, starting with your relationship with you. It’s a year where you’ll be required to heighten your sense of responsibility to your home and family environment. Don’t be surprised when you need to take on some added weight with home and family. Embrace it instead of resenting it. This is the year where you’ll finally feel that “click” in knowing if a divorce is necessary or you can also have the clarity you’ve been waiting for and officially say “I Do.” Your theme song for the year: “Should I Stay Or Should I Go?” How does this energy relate to the 8 Universal Year? There’ll be added tension around how you relate with your intimate relationships. Do you give yourself away to your kids, spouse, parents, boss, or friends? Or do you level judgment on those around you, impeding your—and their—happiness? It’s time to investigate how you feel empowered or disempowered in your domestic life. On the career front—it’s a “make or break” time for business.

7 Personal Year:

This year is all about delving inward. While you may see yourself functioning fairly “normally,” this is a year where you’ll be heavily involved in deep inner work. It’s a spiritual year; meaning, you’ll have many opportunities to test your sense of spirituality, however you define it. This is a year where your faith and trust will be tested. You’ll feel as though you want to retreat from the static of the outside world. You’ll feel more quiet and introspective than usual, so don’t let that surprise you. Combined with the 8 Universal Year, 2015 is all about active engagement in the material world. So you of all people will feel pulled in different directions. How do you integrate these two oppositional energies? To quote Yoda: “Many of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view…You will find only what you bring in.” Your mission—should you choose to accept it—is to explore the true nature of your personal power, your relationship with money, and your true desires about manifesting in the material world. Do the groundwork that you can put into action next year.

8 Personal Year:

This is a year to focus on money, finances, and personal power. During your 8 Personal Year,  you can’t help but wake up every morning—and go to sleep every night—thinking about your finances. You’ll be in work overdrive this year and also be handed opportunities that test your personal power. Not once. Not twice. But over and over again all year long. Get ready for a marathon, not a sprint! This year is a power-year for you, and I don’t want to underestimate the power that’s available to you during your 8 Personal Year. You’ll need to hit the ground running and focus your actions and energies on creating the financial abundance you want in your life. It’s a year where you can experience big financial ups and downs, so be prepared to tap into your resilience. You can experience major gains and big losses. Yet this is your year to think big and manifest the money and status you deserve. Remember to take breaks so your health doesn’t suffer. Schedule short vacations when you can. Otherwise you’re bound to experience burnout. Your mantra: I’ve got the power! Intensity, thy name is 2015. You’ve got double 8 energy heaped upon you. It’s your year to get real about money, finances, and personal power. Get ready for a marathon, not a sprint. This is a power-year where you can experience big financial ups and downs, so be prepared to tap into your resilience. Yet this is your year to think big and manifest the money and status you deserve. Downside: Careful to steer clear of a victim mentality. This energy is truly challenging and will bring up very real, deep issues related to your sense of empowerment and demand that you deal with them.

9 Personal Year:

This is a year of completion, of unraveling, of letting go of the old to make space for change. This change can be somewhat dramatic and tumultuous; possessions, relationships, job, geographical location, spirituality, health. It’s all under review this year. This is the year that’s inviting (oh, let’s be honest, it’s forcing you) you to move on to an even more expansive cycle in your life if you choose to let go and allow what’s no longer serving you to fall away.
This is also a year where you can revel in the successful culmination of all that you’ve been working toward for the past eight years. It’s going to be a matter of evaluating what’s finished and no longer necessary for you and then moving forward without a net. I like to put it this way: You know people who are in a marriage or a relationship that’s over with, and yet they won’t get a divorce or break up with their partner until they have another love interest waiting in the wings? Well, metaphorically speaking, the 9 Personal Year won’t allow you to do that! You must break it off and then manage and master that empty space of nothingness for a while. Needless to say, even the best of us are scared silly when it comes to change. And then to change something without knowing exactly what’s next? Triple threat. Yet that’s what’s required this year. Your theme song: David Bowie’s “Ch-ch-ch-changes.” The tricky part? You’ll need to integrate the active, initiating energy of the 8 Universal Year with your intensely emotional year of letting go. Get ready for lessons surrounding your sense of empowerment. You’ll be met with pivotal opportunities to learn deep lessons and move into the new you.

Metaphorical world of Keisha

Keisha stared at her ex for what seemed, like a really long time. Amidst the train of thoughts that were running in her head, she could not help but ask herself, what in the world possessed her to be with her ex?

Was it the fact that she was sick of being alone? Did she have such a deep and intense sympathy for him? Or was she just merely bored?

But how can she be bored when her life was already a taboo? She had crossed the line many times and each time she had to have people pay for her mistakes. Did she not feel remorse? Well… apparently not that much for her to bend her ways. She was already born into darkness, with time it was just a matter of the type of shades that evolve from it.

Keisha Malhotra was a cannibal. She was the only cannibal in her current family. Well, technically she was adopted so, she never knew anything about her real family. All she knew was she liked the taste of human flesh. Her first feast was when her schoolmate was injured during a hike. The oozing blood caught her attention. It wasn’t the sight of it, but rather, the smell of fresh blood that caused her first stirrings. Her classmate was too weak to remind her that she was human after all. It was after her feast, that the huge pang of guilt made her realized that there were boundaries even for cannibals. She buried her classmate  and lied to her teacher that she drowned. It was an important lesson for an accidental cannibal.

“Keisha! Are you paying attention?”

Keisha looked up. God! He was annoying. She needed to be in her thoughts and the last thing she needed was to have her ex annoying her. She closed her eyes and chanted something under her breath. Slowly, she opened her eyes and she was all alone in her own world.  One of the benefits of growing up in a house of witches and having the genes somewhere in her.

She took  in a whiff of the air. The salt was at the tip of her mouth and she could feel the cold breeze embracing her. A slow shiver made its way up her spine and the crashing waves in the background of an upcoming storm, made her heart flutter a thousand times faster. She closed her eyes and breath.

Slowly she felt  a warm sensation up her spine. A familiar finger with the power to send warmth even in the coldest night made her smile.

“ Hello stranger”

He smiled, sitting beside her. His pale green eyes staring right into hers. He always had a way of staring into her that made her feel warm and yet curious about him. He was wearing her favourite nose ring and his hair was combed back as if he just had a shower. He smelled of the ocean. He bend down to kiss her. She liked his husky after- taste and the moisture that lingers on.

“ Hey you. What’s on your mind?”

“Nothing.” She was lying and she knew he knew that. She wanted to tell him how she was slowly feeling things she could not understand. Puzzled yet curious to know why she was feeling the way she felt.

He looked at her closely and touched her chin and she closed her eyes.

“ Keis!! BOO!!”

Keish’s eyelids shot up like an alarm. The atmosphere had changed. It had to. She was now staring straight at Rafel. She could not help but notice even as a metaphor of her thought Rafel had pearly white teeth. Gosh, he really was vain.

Keisha found herself in a Paris CafĂ© in the mid day. It was crowded and she was dressed in a sunny yellow dress. Something, a woman in the 70s would wear. But even then, it was very sexy, revealing parts of her curvaceous body. Rafel was drinking his coffee and speaking in French to a young gentleman sitting in the next table. He was very busy, engaged in a conversation. Keisha took a minute to observe him. Rafel was definitely not a shy guy as he had mentioned and he did have wild lustful bizarre fantasy of her. Yet, there was something sad about him. She could not put her finger on it but definitely something was not right about this guy. He was an interesting specimen who has occupied her mind. She wouldn’t fuck him but eating him was another thing.  He was well roasted just like a half -baked chicken.

“ I wouldn’t do that if I were you, you idiot!”

She knew who the owner of the voice was. It was no surprise that as she turned, so did her setting.

It was cozy and dark in a bar and Fertel was walking towards her with a cocktail. He looked more pale than usual. Keisha tilted her head to look out for a familiar face that she was so used to seeing. Ironically, Death was no where in sight. Well, he did pay her a visit a few days ago but she was hoping that the metaphorical issue with Fertel would be regards to Death. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. This meant it was going to be a long talk, insults and whines about Fertel’s life. It was good enough, she was  listening to him whine for 2 hours on the phone but to have the voice in her thoughts was unbearable. But she had to do what she had to do.  She needed to clear her thoughts and issues with regards to him and she sat, drinking her cocktail while he droned on.

What seemed like an endless pit hole, suddenly came to a stop when, she noticed he was disappearing as he spoke. The bar was getting darker and she found herself slowly facing another familiar metamorphosis.

She could not see him clearly at first but his presence was inevitable. His eyes pierced into hers. It was painfully comforting. Her body was burning like ice on fire. An intense feeling she missed. This wonderful, familiar figure of hers.

“Rain, where have you been?”

He smiled

“ Right where we all started”

Keisha sighed. Time for her to leave her metaphorical world and enter the world of her favourite demon.
